Can you tell me a approximation of how much my pony is worth?
She is 10 yrs old. 14 hands. She does not wear shoes. She has okay conformation. She is all black. She is herd bound. She has the best trot and canter, so smooth. She is about 950 lbs. she adores kids. She is 1/2 paint 1/4 Shetland and I think the other quarter may be mustang........ She is EXTREMELY smart!!!!!!!!!! She always has bad tricks but they don't hurt people. Most of the time.... She doesn't bite or kick or rear. Sometimes when a beginner is on her and they start giving her mixed messages she bucks. She will free jump 3ft 7 inch she does speed events, Western pleasure, jumping, and was trained basic dressage. she is a good cow horse too. I ride her bareback all the time and English and Western. she is a very social horse. She loads like a dream. All you have to do is bring her up to the trailer and she hops in. she does not spook at anything. Thanks. I just want to know an approximation on how much she is worth. Oh and I live in western oregon
only answer if you are serious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She does stand for farrier and vet and shots, etc.
She is in amazing health.
She is cow hocked
My picture next to my name is her picture

ask your mother what she paid for the pony and then you'll know what she's worth.

This is very hard to answer without seeing the horse and knowing more specifics about wins at competition level, last vet check up e.t.c

But assuming good health....It sounds to me that she has good competition experience without necessarily having consistently won. If this is the case then we have recently bought a similar sounding pony for $2,750. I wouldn't be over-worried about the bucking either as it takes a particularly docile character to tolerate certain beginners!

If she is however a proven competition performer then this will drastically affect the price upwards to $6,000 as a starting figure. If you are really interested then I would suggest starting to do a bit of market research and see what the going rates are in your neighbourhood. http://www.equine.com deal with sales across the world.

Well, without a pic of the "okay" conformation, it's hard to say.

If everything is where it should be and she doesn't have any major glaring issues, she would go for $1000 up to $1400 in my area.

If she goes to speed events and wins a lot, that puts her value at the high end.

If she has a very bad conformation issue, splayed feed or cow hocked or some other problem, her value would be much less, just a few hundred dollars.

This is a hard question to answer without seeing her in action. She has a few issues- herd bound, bucking, bad tricks that don't hurt people most of the time. You also don't say if she stands for vet/farrier/etc. Has she shown and won anything?

A good horse is worth their weight in gold- even older schoolmasters can be pricey. I would say your pony is worth anywhere from 500-1,500 depending on where you live. This price can go up if she is proven.
