Major in Marketing or Finance?

I know that the job market now is very rough and i do not want to choose a major that i will end up regretting. Which Major would help me get a good paying job right out of college that wont make me miserable. When i think of Finance i always thought that it would be the right choice, however i do not want to be crunching numbers in my head all day long.(That is just my idea of it i may be wrong). Marketing on the other hand seems to be more social and hands on, however anyone i ask about marketing say that it is not worth it, and that i should go to fiance.(I prefer to be in a job which is more social instead of just sitting behind a desk all day.) Thank you in advance.

well, with those two options you're going to have to sacrifice something either way

marketing is definitely more social but a lot less lively to be lucrative, while finance is the exact opposite

the only other benefit to finance is it's in higher demand right now than marketing, and will be for the foreseeable future

you could just go for a business degree

Depending on what year you are, hopefully the job market will be looking better. Stick with marketing as long as you can without ruining the option of Finance then check the job market. and consider your options

The best marketers have a sound understanding of finance, so there is no reason why you cannot study both together in a suitable business degree. Lots of people study business and finance with marketing majors.
