How do I delete my Facebook account?

Hi. I wish to delete my Facebook account permanently and completely.
I need a foolproof way to do this. Can anybody help please?

Change password to something crazy and don't even think about what your typing, then account settings deactivate account, then create a new email and delete the old one.

Go into account settings, into general settings, then click deactivate account.

theres an arrow in the upper right corner pointing down. click on that then go to "Account setting". Over to the upper right corner of the page, look for "Security" click on that. Then at the bottom of the page it says "Deactivate your account". you cant delete your facebook forever however. after you deactivate it, you can always type in your password & user name to activate it again.
