18, No real friends or social life?

So...I'm 18 & kind of in a sucky situation. I finished high school & I don't plan on going to college. In high school I didn't make many friends because I moved across country my junior year so I was the new kid 2 years before graduation & everyone & everything was different. I was depressed & it just wasnt a good time in my life at all. So I didn't talk much & didn't make many friends. I have a few friends here who I barely hang out with ever. One of my closest friends here I met in high school & I work with him. Outside of work we never hang out, he's big on pot & stuff I don't drink or smoke, & when him & our small group of friends do stuff I don't get invited because all they do is drink or smoke. Everyone else at work is older than me, by many years. I don't have facebook so I can't even use that to meet people. I don't know what to do & the loneliness has been really getting to me....how can I meet people :/

How about joining some activities you are interested in? Some sports, music.... You'll get to know people and make friends there? Earlier the better please don't think everyone wouldn't like you or something like that good luck
