be different, care about your subs, make videos so well that people will actually tell their friends. The most important thing is to be consistent, and never stop your schedule, dont be taking these week long breaks, upload daily and never let anything stop you from uploading daily. Going on vaca? Make videos ahead of time and put them on a usb and upload them on a laptop during it, just be consistent and funny. Apply for partnerships and directorships and you will get there.

use social networking sites to advertise you videos such as facebook and twitter let you friends know about them, I have had a few fairly successfully gaming youtubers who started of this way, also every few months do a give away on your channel just something small saying [subscribe and like my facebook page for a chance off winning....... but only do this if you get over a certain amount of people subscribe or else it will pointless. and finally ask some more successful youtubers for shout outs
hope this helps

Ok make 1 milllion emails but dont subscribe to your channel, subscribe them to a famous persons channel and in return they have to say in a video to subscribe to you and you will gain thousands of subs legit.
