How can I get more Instagram followers?

Every time I get five followers at least three and then I lose two more of a game five more and then the process repeats itself. I have 600 followers and only 17 of them are active. How can I get to my goal of the thousand followers before February and get a lot of likes along with my followers.? I've been on Instagram for almost a year and I haven't reached my goal yet. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for me to use. Is to shuttle apparently doesn't exist anymore. Period. And into like won't work on my phone. Anything anyone can think of? Please help me!

Unbelievable. You have an Instagram goal? Why don't you set an important goal like to do better in school?

Did you ever think that your content isn't good enough for people to want to keep following you? If you want likes and followers, you need good content and RELEVANT hashtags (unlike what the other person answering suggested). You also need to post things that a wide range of people find interesting.

But then, I guess that with all of the attention hos out there, maybe the follow4follow hashtags will work. I just don't get why you feel the need to have random strangers see your personal photos.
