Leage of Legends login error help?

I was on league today and was about to start a game when i got the disconnected from server message that happens sometimes. When I went to re-login, it sat there spinning then came up with a message saying: No response from server, trying (attempt 1)... it did that up to the 3rd attempt then said Server did not respond... gave me some links to check out and fix this problem, but none of it worked, I've searched around, deleted the air_client and air_naconfig folders and reopened the client, tried the whole IE options reset and everything... Has anyone found anything else that fixes this? everything on my computer is up to date (running Windows 8.1) I'm on the NA servers and i have friends that are able to log on and i can log into the League website still
