Facebook notifications question?

On fb, sometimes when i send someone a friend request, i dont get a notification that they accepted, but i can tell they did because they're in my friends list and i can see their posts on my news feed... So why dont i get a notification from them, when i get one from other people?

Sometimes that happens to me. Someone comments on my post, someone posts on my wall, someone likes my picture. Yeah, it happens once in a blue moon that I don't get a notification for it. It's really nothing, as long as I see it. But I just think of it as the Facebook Crew forgetting to add that notification, even if that's not true. So it really is nothing.

Sometimes people may show up on your wall and friends list if you requested them, but it doesn't mean that they accepted yet. Does it say "request pending" next to their name on the list?

And also yeah, sometimes when someone comments on one of you posts, notifications don't appear either.
