Facebook friend has disappeared?

One of my friends has disappeared from my friend list on facebook and i also cannot find him on the search. He has not deleted me or deactivated his account and as far as he knows we are still friends on his facebook. I am really confused because this has happened with a couple of other people and to me they do not exist anymore on facebook! At first I was a bit concerned they were all blocking me but I am 100% positive that this friend hasn't because he's one of my best friends! Have no idea what to do. Any thoughts?

Not sure, but check one of your mutual friends and see if hes in their friend list. My cousin deleted/blocked me and i found him on one of my other friends' friends but i couldnt find him in the facebook search thing.
