Why do I get self self conscious when someone adds me on Facebook?

When a stranger send me a friend request I get so self conscious if should accept or not I feel like they are going to judge me for my age or my life or anything I do :|?

i wouldn't recommend ever adding a stranger on FB

Why would you want to add a stranger? I get stranger requests and Ignore them. Most of them are trying to sell you something or they aren't the people in the picture. Someone thought they were getting a friend request from my sister and started chatting with them. The person suddenly realized it was not my sister at all she was talking to. A lot of times they will make up some story and ask to borrow money. There's crooks and thugs and guys sitting in jail and overseas all over in Facebook.
