She was kinda jealous ; ) and very mean!
Pearl!! You've helped me alot too : )
I cut her out and I feel soo Happy!!
We are in grad school together and she wants me to STAY with her and study with her and go out with her. Ridiculous.
I want to shine in class and she's super competitive and a perfectionist.

Because they miss the control. I had to cut my toxic friend out of my life about 4 and a half years ago. It was all about her, her, her. When I officially said no more she had a huge melt down and said how I deserved to be treated badly, how I deserved to not be respected. I've never been happier then not having her in my life.

A toxic person is that way because he/she loves to control and manipulate others. Sever what ever ties you have with this person, even if it's a relative. He/she will probably try to ramp up the criticism and have a huge temper tantrum in public to try to shame you. Just turn around and walk away if you're in the vicinity. Avoid the person any way you can--no texting, social media, or personal encounters. They can go find another victim. Don't acknowledge any thing that's said or done.
