facebook email notifications.... help plz?

i haven't been receiving any facebook notifications for the past 2-3 days on my hotmail. i tried looking in the junk folder or spam just incase it was accidentally put there, but still i cant find any. So, now i tried changing emails, so i changed hotmail to yahoo, and im getting the notifications on yahoo. Now i tried changing back from yahoo to hotmail, and even the conformation email, wasnt sent to my hotmail...
so what am i supposed to do now? i wanna be able to get my notofications on my hotmail, but something seems wrong.

1. Log in to your Facebook.
2. Click "Setting" at top right side of the page.
3. Click the 3rd tab called " notifications"
4. Choose "on" for the first 5 options, they are main options.
5. Choose "on" or "off" for what you like to get notified or not.
