Well to change it from "Joing Group" to "Becoming a Fan" you'd have to delete the group and make a page instead.

To create a group on Facebook click on the Applications link in the lower left hand corner of the page. Click Browse more Applications. In the Search box on the upper left, type in Groups. Then click Groups from the selection menu. You'll see a page where people are a fan of Facebook groups lol. I hope this isn't confusing you. Click on Go to Application. Then a gray button on the right says + Create a New Group. Click on that and create your group!

To create a Facebook Page, go to your profile and scroll down to the bottom below all your boxes. Click on Create a Profile Badge. Then click on Widgets Home. Then choose Fan Box. And then create your Page!
