It's a pick play. Denver and many teams do this intentionally and since wes is a small guy he had to chop block him. Not illegal as well. Plus he got a rib injury so it just wasnt his knees

Saw a NFL player say on twitter that it looked like Welker was on a suicide mission on that play. And yea pick plays are illegal.

Obviously. After all he was the one that costed them the over time lost in New England earlier this season. So he wanted to redeem himself and get back at his old team.
