Do you find Facebook positive?
I'm working on this research paper, and I have done ample amount of study towards the topic, however, I want peoples opinion. Try and think abstractly about it, how does facebook intertwine with your day? how is it constructive? if not state why. I know this sounds like a essay I'm just looking for some feedback to help me do this paper for my final exam. THANKS!

Hello David, Advantages of Facebook

Although many teachable moments arise because of inappropriate Facebook actions, there are some advantages to using Facebook. One advantage is that student organizations can use the Facebook for organizing and announcements, as opposed to using traditional listservs. Students can log-on at a time which is convenient for them and see what is new with the student organization, as opposed to filling their inboxes with multiple emails a day about announcements or schedule changes. Facebook can also be used to advertise events and other involvement opportunities. The ads cost between ten and twenty dollars a day, depending on the size of the institution, and can be posted by any member of an institution’s group (Facebook, 2005). One example of a successful advertisement was at the University of Maryland when the Community Service-Learning office recently had success posting advertisements for its spring break service trip applications and found that several... the good thing about the facebook thing is the users. Depending on their level of Wanted drama or unwanted drama.
but for the most part.

running into older friends (the ones you haven't slept with) helping out fellow artist.. there are a lot of post about buy my art ect. so i feel good that I can help someone whom i call a friend.

I can see the photos from my wedding that other people posted with out going to there home and listening to them narrate the event. not just weddings but all photos i can get a sneak peak at what is going on.

you can post links to your own art and get feedback.

you can brag a bit and it's expected that other people brag. This is really helpful for people who are not good at social skills like myself.
prior to going to visit a friend or family memeber i take a minute and read their page. If's it's active and something I can remember it helps "break the ice" to speak. even better when you haven't seen someone in a long time.

you can kill time on their.

come and think of it i can't think of a con. other than the users.
the the program it self is rather sweet.
It's also funny when you don't get accepted as a friend you know the person is still holding on to a grudge from 10 years ago. to me i find that very very funny!

My 2 cents - I don't like that they're trying to make everything public and open. I had my photos on "frieds only", but people who weren't my friend could still view them.
