Because they want to be your friends LOL. Just message them and see what they're all about. If you like them then accept them and if you don't then reject them. If the really start to get on your nerves then block them.

It may be 1 out of 3 possibilities:
1. You're really good looking and they treat it as a dating site
2. It's a scam/ the people adding you are con artists and the names/ accounts they added you under is fake
3. They are attention seekers/ idiots and add you for the sake of having more friends on Facebook

A lot of them are scammers and identity thieves. Make sure your profile is set to private so only your Friends can see your page
