Hey, there's this girl I'm friends with on Facebook, I don't know her, & we don't go to the same school. But we live around the same area, and we have mutual friends (she's friends with my cousins and some other people on fb who I'm also friends with). She's older than me by nearly three years, I'm not a very popular guy, I barely have any friends in real life, she's pretty popular (not like usual stereotypical popular girls you see today, but she has friends). I don't want to try to hook-up with her online or be romantic or flirty or anything, I just want to try to be friendly and start talking to her.. We've talked on Facebook once before, but that was months ago back in November & because she sent something from clicking on a link by accident... So how should I approach her & start talking to her more on fb?? Please help...!!!

Look at her profile. See what she is into post something about what she seems interested in while she is online... see if she comments or likes even...if she does jus type a msg an talk.!

Just start with a friendly hello. Then say something like you're friends with my cousin or maybe say 'hi I'm ________'s cousin.' just start out simple and don't rush the conversation too much. That means don't jump from one topic to another straight away. Definitely don't say 'hey, I think I've seen you before.' that just sounds like you're going to ask her out!

And if she doesn't reply? Try again. Not straight away or you'll sound too desperate. Try very few days.

Like her statuses, comment on her photos and commplement her. Being a girl and all, I find it sweet when guys ( even some I dont know very well ) talk to me on fb. One thing I dont reccomend though is talking through chat. For some reason, I am creeped out when guys who I dont know very well do that.

I'm not sure if you've hear of this before or not, but my friends on fb do statuses called "truth is". Basically you like it and they'll post a status on your timeline talking about you and what they thing of you. If she does this, or anything simmilar, just like it. Maybe this could be a reason to start a convorsation!!

You should ask your cousin or friends who know her to help you talk to her. Although the age difference may be a problem if your still in school. If your cousin can't set you guys up you should just message her and be friendly.
