Notification on facebook causing problem.... help?

every time i get a notification on facebook the red sign with the number appers and even after ive read the notification the red sign does not disappear but stays and more notifications i get the number on the red sign will keep adding up staying there. how do i solve this problem..its kinda annoying.. pl help

I had the same problem... What you do it go to notifications and then hit "see all" or whatever (I think it's at the bottom) and then you get a full screen of notifications. The red should go away now, and you can go to your homepage. Hope this helped! Merry Christmas!

keep that list open for a few seconds..then it disappears for me
