Is the job market & salary for Epidemiologists good now & in the future?
I'm thinking about getting a Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology. I have a B.S. in Biology and I'm trying to decide between an MPH program or Physician Assistant school. With the the MPH, I can take some online courses or night classes and still continue to work full-time. However, if I went to PA school I wouldn't be able to work and I'm a little worried if I'll have enough money to live off of. I don't want to have too much student loan debt. I need help making the right decision and although it seems as if the MPH-Epidemiology route would be more suitable financial wise, I really would like to pursue being a PA because I know that the job market/salary for PA's is good and I'd love the career. But if the job market and salary for Epidemiology is good, I would also enjoy it as a career. Any advice or information would definitely be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
