Which is better? A Facebook Group or Page?
I'm trying to create a place for my graphic design class of 2008 to keep in touch.
But the Facebook Group pages don't send you alerts when someone posts new photos or a discussion topic. Do Pages do that? Which is best for getting the word out when someone makes an update to the wall/photos/discussion? Ads |

neither send you that, unless yous subscribe to a discussion board thread. Group updates show up in a person's group page. However, if you run the page, you could update it everytime you want people to see it via "Page Status". I would say a Facebook Page would be better.

you should make a group, that way, only they can see what you talk about, you can make it private, pages are for other things, like people

Yahoo and Google both do groups. Certainly Google will send you alerts if you set it up correctly.

a group because its a group of you (your class) trying to stay in touch aslong as you've commented or tagged in a picture or discussion page you will get a notification. Pages dont do it as much and its more like a seperate account from your actual account
