FACEBOOK NOTIFICATION STATUS's?

when people comment my status's or something on facebook, it sends me an email but it doesnt say it in my 'notifications'. how do i change it so i can be notified on facebook instead of checking my email every 5 minutes?
and yes you can do it, it is possible. i accidentally clicked 'report spam' and now it doesn't tell me any notifications so i have to look at my email like every 2 minutes.

Go to your notifications. (click on the icon in the right bottom corner and then on see all)
On the right you should have a list of apps, and there will be a little box next to each one which may or may not have a check in it. Make sure all the apps you want notifications from are checked.
If that doesn't work, I really don't know... sorry.
