How do you avoid a "block" on the Facebook friend finder?

OK, I am using the "upload" vcard method to find my friends on Facebook. It is a long process where you have to create an individual vcard for each of your contacts, and then select it using the friend finder. After I uploaded 10 or so cards, they block me from using it. I am not inviting the people who do not have facebook account to join. If they are not on facebook I simply move to the next. It is super lame. I contacted them and they just "yeah, we can't take the block off". How the heckl am I supposed to find my friends?
