They might not be able to add you. Laws vary in different places.

THERE IS SOMEONE IN MY SCHOOL AGED LIKE YOU AND USING FACEBOOK.
I CHECKED HER FRIENDS LIST BY SEARCHING HER NAME.
I SAW ONLY ONE MUTUAL FRIEND. (MY MATHEMATICS TEACHER)
I ALSO SENT HIM FRIEND REQUEST AND HE ACCEPTED.
IT'S OKAY FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE OLDER THAN ME IN AGE.
I THINK YOU ARE IN 10TH GRADE WHILE I AM IN 6TH GRADE!

Technically, you can add anyone you want on Facebook. Whether they accept you, that's a different story. Since you don't go to that school anymore, they might add you if they want. If your school district has rules about students and teachers being friends on Facebook, then they might not add you even if they know you. Hope this helps!
