I think Facebook is losing messages I receive?

I have the Facebook app on my Android phone, and I also access it on my computer. Occasionally I will get an alert on my phone that I have a new message. I'll check on my phone and won't see any messages, and I'll check on my computer and won't see any messages. And they are generally from people that don't IM or send me messages often if at all.

I can't tell if the app on my phone or facebook it self is messing up. I can't tell if I am actually being sent messages and just aren't receiving them or if I'm getting false notifications.

Anyone else have this problem?
