How do you skip a security check on Facebook?

I logged into my facebook one day and it said complete this security check. I did the first step then went to the next step and it said put your phone number. And I don't like putting my phone number on websites for everybody to see so I tried to see if you could skip it but there was no skip button so I logged off. The next day I logged back into my facebook and it is still saying to put your phone number in. Is there anyway to skip it? Please help! Thanks!

You can verify your account by phone and able to hidden this number from other. Only you can see the number.

when i login to facebook,, the security check apper and there are five photos of my friend's and they said to adintify that photo's but i dont know whozzz photo's is thz,,,!
and there is no skip bbutton ,, now please help me for tha t reason
