How do I stop receiving updates from Facebook pages I've liked?
I know how to stop getting updates from one page but I've like over a thousand and their flooding my news feed constantly. How can I get rid of the updates all together in one hit? I've looked through the help section several times, but it isn't as helpful as the name might suggest.

If your Facebook profile has been upgraded to the new interface, follow these steps-

In the news feed section, check if you see a downward arrow on the right side of the feed received from a specific Page that you have subscribed. Click on the arrow and choose the hide all by option (the last one), this will stop updates from showing in your feed screen.

when you see an update simply go to the right hand side of the post and you can choose not to have anymore posts from this page, you can just do that as and when you see them

I dont think you can do that in one hit.. You can go to My Account Settings and then Personalisation but then u have to select the option of not posting to your wall for each of the pages.. not in one shot..
My suggestion would be to click on the small 'x' button that you see whenever the page posts/updates something on your wall and select unsubscribe.. in that manner you can slowly remove all of them one by one and it wont be cumbersome to remove all at one time which can take time..
