question about fake facebook profile?

There is a fake profile up with disturbing content on it and has been reported numerous times yet is still up on facebook. What would be the best action to take to get it off and find out who is behind it?
If I get police involved I still wouldn't be able to find out?

you will never find out who is behind it - and all you can do is report it and wait - keep in mind that after you report a profile, it could take weeks before facebook gets around to reviewing it

if it's something more serious than just a fake account, and the police decide they can help, the court will order facebook to reveal who created the account, but this process takes months

chances are the police will just tell you there is nothing they can do - give them a call and ask them yourself

There is no way you can find out who is behind it, all you can do is report the page under every reason possible.
