What's this deal with twitter?

I hear it EVERYWHERE. I see it EVERYWHERE. Tom on myspace is in love with it..WTF?? Twitter this and twitter that, on the radio, tv, news..god its annoying..i mean geeezz is it really that fun to update a status every 5 minutes? Someone please tell me what the big deal is because I'd like to know. Thanks! and please so rude comments

these days people just love to talk, and twitter gets them off of their cellphone where everyone can hear what they're saying and they can abuse that and onto twitter where they can soundlessly type and still enjoy. Mostly it's hollywood and young people who feel they need to chat endlessly and they are usually the people who are bored and aren't studying and bettering themselves. These days too the media is sending everyone to twitter for networking with regard to jobs, getting out there and learning what's available and where. And it's also used as a marketing tool to market your business.
