Can employers look at or demand access to your facebook account?

I keep on updating my privacy settings since facebook changes them frequently and they seem to get more confusing every time. But I was wondering since I am applying for jobs, should I delete my facebook? Can employers look at it? Do they typically check? Can they demand access to it? Is it better to delete it, even if there's nothing bad on there?

They can look at it, you should not delete it - just keep in mind you can't control 100% who sees what. They can not legally as I understand it make you give them access to your accounts like that.
