I am getting spam notifications on Facebook...?
I'm on Facebook, and i keep getting these notifications saying "BlahBlah likes your photo" or "BlahBlah commented on your status" from people that I would never get these things from. I am positive. And so I click on it and it comes up with this "comment application" that seems like spam. It asks me to allow the app, then the app won't load. Is this spam? And how can it stopped.

yes, it is. actually I think it might be a virus. Click the X on the notification and hit "Report spam". The issue is that they keep making more and more and more apps to spam people. I wish facebook would DO something about this, because it's really becoming obnoxious. Do NOT add the app! Don't even click on it. I would run a virus scanner on your computer also..

I'm getting the same things too, yes I agree it's annoying. At least I know I'm not the only one.
Anywho, I'd just ignore them because it'll more than likely lead to a virus on your computer... Which is not pleasant to deal with.
Also, since Facebook is becoming more popular now they're starting to recieve all the spam and whatnot myspace had to deal with a few years back when it hit the popularity charts... it's a pain but I guess that's what happens to social network websites. It should be fixed by the facebook staff, hopefully. Because i'm sick of all the spam notification crap.
To make matters better you could email Facebook and tell them what is going on. Im going to Smile

I've been having the same problems.

One thing that might help, if you've allowed the application once, it's probably added itself to your apps, so even though you mark it as spam, it can keep coming back. Make sure to go to your applications section and DELETE all of the spam applications (make sure you check ALL the apps, not just the recently used ones that are displayed first).

E-mailing facebook is not a bad idea either.
