Making My Car Invention A Reality?
I am currently participating in a national science challenge that has to do with helping the environment with things like clean energy, sanitation, environmental justice, or pollution. My father works in research and development on a NASCAR team, more specifically aerodynamics. I have created a cheap bolt-on truck accessory that greatly reduces drag in several areas and can theoretically gain up to a 30% increase in fuel efficiency. Part of the project is to spread word and "share" the project. I am currently working on contacting both a local newspaper and the Charlotte Observer (I believe it is the largest in North Carolina) and possibly local news teams. I will also be sharing a video that has to do with the making-of, testing, and explanation of my product. The video will go on youtube, our team website, and my social media pages. My question is, does anyone have any suggestions on more ways and maybe even more effective ways of sharing and/or collaborating with little to (preferably) no cost? Also if this turns out well, I will probably make an attempt to sell or share my idea. Any know how on how to contact companies or go about the business aspect or patenting process would be very helpful. If it turns out right, then my team, teacher/supervisor, and engineers I contacted through my father believe that we can win the grand prize which involves a ton of scholarship money and a chance to talk at a prestigious venue. So I may not need to reach out to anyone, but just in case. Also, if you feel that there are any other tips or things that I need to watch for that could help me in any way, shape, or form, that wouldn't drastically supplement your odds of winning the best answer and my gratitude. Thanks in advance!

Perhaps a video showing the flow of air (using moving arrows) around the truck and how your invention reduces drag. I'm in motion graphics so of course my answer will be about motion graphics.

I am pretty interested to see what the heck you are talking about...update us sometime with a comment or something.
