Has Yahoo! even noticed the hordes of long-time members who are bailing because of the new format?

I doubt that they have the personnel to even pay attention to the activities on all the pieces that make up Yahoo. In YA, its purpose is to mainly sell advertising space based on the ID count & daily participation. With the trolls with multi - accts making up the difference of those who have left & the rest who are on the verge, I doubt that Yahoo will notice until we have all left for a better entertaining site. Wish I could think of one to move to.... *sigh*

As long as some of the people leaving are trolls, I really couldn't care less.

People have been b*tching about the change and it's just not that big a deal. Harden the f*ck up and put in your tampons. Jeeezus!

Yahoo Answers is one of the VERY FEW products that Yahoo offers which is actually any good.

Compare this to Apple or Google who offer really great, polished products.

Yahoo is famous in the tech industry for its lack of direction and hopeless products.

I personally really enjoy YA and I'm TRYING to adapt to the new format. It's too hinkey, though. It's ugly, unresponsive and things go missing. I've hardly used such a bad piece of software.

To say that the folks at Yahoo don't care is unfair and untrue. They can see the numbers dropping... but it is VERY DIFFICULT to admit that you made a mistake.

They will try to improve the new format, but you know what? ... YOU CAN'T POLISH A TURD

I don't think they care.

They just want the numbers for the advertising.

To RedQueens example, I'd add Geocities, Yahoo Briefcase and a host of other simple but useful services that Yahoo offered before flushing them down the proverbial toilet.

I just want to comment on what RedQueen said. She's absolutely right -- if you want to see how much Yahoo cares about what we think, look at the 360 pages we all used to have. This was back in '06 and '07. We all had one -- they were little blog-type things where you could post pictures and connect with people. They were great, and always busy and full of activity, and then they were all deleted for no reason. So, yeah. Yahoo didn't care about our opinions then so I don't think they'll start caring now.

Yahoo caring? Lol that sounds like a joke. Yahoo does not care. They allow bigotry to roam the comments in the articles that can range from stupid to outright death threats. So I doubt they give two damns if they lose some of their user base.
