Now I can no longer receive emails because noone has my email address. This is very inconvenient and a hassle.

This happens if you've been hacked
You need to change your password immediately - if you can't then start here https://edit.europe.yahoo.com/forgotroot

Fill out a Mail Restore and Contacts Restore ASAP http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en...id=SLN2160

Once you have accessed your account, disable Mail Forwarding http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...id=SLN3612 -- normally the hackers will have your Incoming mail forwarded to their account

And do all of the following
- inform your contacts that you have been hacked. Set up a new email address and tell them to only use the new address as you will be closing the other one
- if you used the same login details for ANY other site you need to change those passwords ASAP. Unfortunately 80% of people use the same username and password for everything (Paypal, Ebay, Facebook, Twitter, online banking, Amazon, Linkedin, etc). Once the hackers know your email login, they will try those same login details on every bank website, credit card site, Ebay, Paypal, social networking site, etc to hack those accounts as well
- if your emails contained ANY financial information (credit card receipts, bank statements, Paypal transactions, etc) you need to contact those financial institutions right away. Get new credit/debit cards and cancel the old card. Change your bank account details and put a fraud alert on your account. Change your Paypal email address.
