What do I do in this situation?

What do I do in this situation?
So I saw an ad on Facebook a few days ago for Disney Channel and modeling auditions. Acting's always been a dream of mind and of course Disney Channel would really be a good first step to take in my acting career so I signed up. Mind you, I live in Canada and this audition is held in New York (which is only about a half hour away by flight). They sent me an email two days ago but I just scanned it before exiting out. I didn't take it seriously and decided to skip this big opportunity, thinking my parents wouldn't allow it. But now they called asking if they need to book seats for my audition for TOMORROW at 7:30 PM. I feel stupid for having not paid that much attention to it, I didn't take it all that seriously until they literally called my house. I could ask my dad if he can take me but one, I'm not sure if he's home and two, I turned 16 last month meaning I can no longer use my birth certificate to travel and I must have a passport which I do not own. How do I go about this?! Am I screwed, especially because I don't have a passport? If I'm able to pass with another hundred dollars in cost then I can do it, my dad has a lot of money (not trying to brag whatsoever).

First of all, if you saw an ad on Facebook for it it's almost certainly one of the many scams going around. They pretend to be connected to Disney, but what they actually do is keep promising you something at the next stage, after you've given them more money. No job ever actually materializes.

Ask this in the Performing Arts section. There are people there who have been scammed by these outfits before.

First of all, be very careful that this is not a scam.

From which Facebook page did you see this ad? If this is not legit, this could be a scam to: 1) steal your money, 2) lure you into prostitution or sex trafficking, or 3) lure you into a different kind of movie or show, such as pornography.

By "book seats", do they mean transportation or saving you a place at the audition?

Also, how did you respond to this audition? Did you merely e-mail them, or did you send them an audition tape or a photo? If you didn't send an audition tape and they're calling your house begging you to audition, I'd be highly suspicious.

In fact, I have a few friends who've done professional show business (I'm an amateur), and I'll run your question by them. I'll share their answers with you.

Meanwhile, share this info with your parents. See if they'd be supportive of driving you or sending you to a proven LEGITIMATE audition.

Here are some audition sites that might be more trustworthy:

P.T. Barnum was supposed to have said, "There's a sucker born every day.". I don't know if he said it for sure but the comment is correct. I think you've been suckered. Disney wouldn't call you if you didn't respond to their email. They would have contacted you in plenty of time to make plans. And primarily, Disney wouldn't communicate with you via email.

You are still a minor. You need parental permission, which I doubt your father may grant it.

How do you know they are not sexual predators, posing as artists managers? The internet is full with kids your age and used as prostitutes in foreign countries. Even here in Canada we know there are hundreds of Philipino and Vietnamese nationals in those conditions, working in Massage Parlors...whatever that means.

Wake up, smell the roses.

Of course they called your house - they're trying to sell you something and want your money and you and your parents might be gullible enough to fall for it. Disney and other places don't hold open auditions like that. However, companies use "Disney Auditions" as bait to get people in. Then they try to convince them to spend the big bucks on their acting camp, classes, showcase or whatever (which are suppose to help you eventually get that Disney audition).

You can't even legally work in the US if you're not a citizen!

You didn't screw up - you've fallen for a scam. For information on real Disney auditions:
