how do you hide the recent activity on facebook?

Oh it's easy. Look at the bottom right of your screen on facebook.

One of the icon looks like a gear, which is setting,
and the other magical icon is the, Hide Sidebar button.

and it looks like. --> with a door
you click it,
its gone..

just realized it's still there above the advertisements.
sorry, but i don't think you can remove those
