samsung brightside apps and data plans.?

on the samsung brightside, does using/downloading apps use up data? i don't have a data plan and i was wondering if i could still use facebook, twitter and other apps.

Those 'apps' are connected to the texting update capabilities of those sites. So, set up your stuff VIA text message for facebook and twitter, and then go into the app and write a status. It will update through SMS.
