Basically, I like this girl, she often favourites my tweets and likes my instagram photos but i'm not sure if its just because that she is that type of person. But would it be weird to randomly message her saying 'Hey' or whatever?

Well, I'm not sure she necessarily likes you since you haven't spoken a word to her. She might just like the stuff that you're posting. But if you want to approach her through social media you can but if you know her personally , I think it would be better to talk to her face-to-face . If you're shy like me then social media is probably the better choice. Even if she doesn't like you , you can at least have a chance of making a new friend!
