Why did my profile pic disappear?

It's gone, and I don't remember how to put one on there. Can anyone help me?

You can use a photo or a Yahoo! cartoon avatar, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.

Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.

If you want a cartoon avatar, go here to create one: http://avatars.yahoo.com/ - then click on "Yahoo!" under "Export your Avatar".

In case you want to use a Facebook or Twitter avatar, you need to link those accounts in the Profile options.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about , click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously.

Note: if you are on a mobile, you need to switch to desktop mode first in order for this to work.

Note II: Before you start making a new avatar, I'd be just a little more patient if I were you. As to the why: I checked your profile and didn't see an avatar, but I saw "profile picture" written in the space where the avatar normally appears - and those words don't get displayed when no avatar exists. As you may have noticed, Yahoo is in the midst of introducing new avatars, and I wouldn't be surprised if your missing avatar is only missing temporarily because of Yahoo updating their servers...
