I have very bad internet and use my phone 24/7 for all my browsing/Facebook/social media/Reddit/etc. needs. I rack up multiple GB of data every month but I have a Sprint Unlimited plan so I don't get penalized. Now that the iOS 7 jailbreak came out, I am able to tether with my phone's 4G LTE. It gives me much much much better speeds so I am tempted to use it to do some downloads and online gaming for my desktop.

So how much data can I safely use (the app tracks it for me) without getting noticed by Sprint? Taking into account that I regularly use lots of data monthly I think I should be safe as long as I stay under 1 or 2 GB right?

Sprint can tell if you tether, regardless of if it is 1MB or 1GB. That said, you should be ok, as long as you stay under 2GB.
