I'm about to delete my facebook because of this...PLEASE HELP!?
Every time I log in to facebook there are advertisements everywhere (not just on the right side of the page). They are all inappropriate for facebook (dating, losing weight etc.). Also there is a "change your background" button in the right corner, near the "account".

I want to report this because it is slowing down my computer and I am about to delete it. Could you tell me where I report it to? I looked almost everywhere in the "help center" but I don't know where to report this problem.

This is more of a browser problem, than FB.
Users must 'lock down' their own stuff, otherwise you'll be inundated with tsunamis' of advertising.
Browser 'pop-up blockers' are lightweight, paper thin defenses and advertisers (legit & malware purveyors) know how to get by those very easily. Users must boost their own defenses these days.

Get Firefox as your default browser & use it for everyday surfing; fall back to IE only for "last resort" viewing of substandard websites & Windows updates.
The following tips help, but methods (vectors) constantly change.
FIREFOX: Tools> Options> Privacy> top drop menu set to "Firefox will use custom settings..."> Check 'Accept Cookies from sites'
â–ºUn-Check 'Accept 3rd Party cookies'.

My own choices (Official Mozilla) to bolster Firefox is here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/collections/d...nbarpappy/
►► At minimum, get the #1 item for malware prevention: NoScript.
Also, "AdBlock Plus".

CHROME> wrench icon> Preferences> Under the hood> Content settings> Cookies (heading): tick "Allow local data..." & "Ignore exceptions and block 3rd party..."> close tab.
"AdBlockPlus" available.

INTERNET EXPLORER does not handle 3rd party assets very well and won't give nearly the control as Firefox.
Internet Explorer users, do this first (IE, pre-8, should NOT be used: to many 'broken' security aspects):
Tools> Internet options> Security tab> tick the "Internet" icon> Security level box> set slider to "Medium high".
Back to Internet options> Advanced tab: here check 'Override automatic....'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies'
& â–º'Block 3rd Party Cookies'.
Using IE (all flavors) and allowing "active content" is the biggest mistake people make.
"Drive by installs", "Opacity based attacks", and many other malware problems arise from this feature alone...(switch to Firefox).

And, get this installed: â–º"HOSTS file" (from mvps.org) which blocks evil webpage assets from re-directs which install malware or trashware. (Vista requires special instructions; on-page link)
