if you could go back to before social media ruled the world, would you?

I would, for sure... There are good things about social media... But it doesn't even make up for all the phony crap we have to deal with now! What do you think? Why?

Absolutely I would.

Human interaction has changed from actual friendships and actual speaking to fake friendships meant to up your friend count so you can look like you have a great social life. It breeds drama, and devolves human interaction into Likes or brief messages.

And even when you *do* get together with someone face to face, they spend half the time staring down at their cell phone to check status updates, tweets, or whatever else.

The negative impact it's had on actual interaction is just mindblowing - and yet they honor the people behind it with awards, praise, or naming them Person the Year. For doing what? Destroying a society's ability to have real relationships with one another?

everyone thinks they are famous now. what's so different from this and the high school hallways? think about that.
