The best way to get themes and topics is to go out and read books in that genre. Read as many of them as you can. See what's been done before. See what hasn't been done before. Study how the authors of these books used theme/topic. You'll learn far more by doing that than you will be reading a list someone gives you on Y!A.

Fitting in and being loved are the two main ones (internal stress is always #1). Adjusting to hardship/changes in family and lifestyle are the secondary motivations/themes (immediate family stress is #2). After that comes drug use/violence outside the family where the teens try to deal with an adult world.
