My friend's boyfriend is suddenly talking to me?

We talked once at school but that's it. Recently, he's been saying hi to me in school every day. And then last night, he chatted me on facebook. He was really friendly. Why would he randomly be talking to me? He liked my profile picture while they were dating...and he knows that his girlfriend and I are friends.What do you think? Is it harmless or does he have an alternate motive?

Because he wants to be friendly to his girlfriend's friends. I highly doubt he has an alternate motive based on what you said. There are two groups of people you have to be on their good side when your a boyfriend.
