I do not get the big hoopla over hashtags?

Hash tags are just a way to prove your point and/or further elaborate on what you're saying. The ones under pictures teens take of themselves are usually just stupid, however. And when people are being mean... It's them... Not the hash tags.

On some websites they are used to find other relevant pictures and posts, such as Twitter or Instagram. On other websites that don't use them for relevance, such as Facebook, are just kids being dumb.
