Why is Ariana Grande getting so popular all of the sudden?

She's more popular than her costars in Victorious, and she's not even the main character. She's popular around people who like Justin Bieber, One Direction, and Little Mix. Of course, she's my favorite character in Victorious because she's funny(but I don't even watch tv much lol). Yeah. She wasn't even this popular last year and now it's blowing up-- it's all over facebook, twitter, and instagram. I've heard her sing and I thought she was really talented, even more talented in terms of singing than Victoria Justice. I understand "people" only like her because she has red hair, but that would be quite ignorant. I mean there's people in your school who look good in red or blue hair, and they aren't famous.

Ariana's popular because she's posts videos of her singing on her YouTube account. She is a talented singer and her voice is very pretty and great to hit high notes so maybe that's why she's more popular than her cast mates she has very good catchy music and her videos are great!! So yeah...not only ppl like her coz her red hair,they also like her coz she's very pretty funny nice and cute lol hoped I helped<33

A lot of people like her character and honestly prefer her over Victoria Justice because she brings a lot of entertainment and is honestly so cute and naive (honestly, she's the only reason I occasionally watch the show cause I really can't stand Justice). And like you said, some people just like her hair. She also posts a ton of covers of songs her YouTube channel (osnapitzari) and she's coming out with a single and an album soon. She's also done some work on Broadway which is how she actually got discovered for Victorious, so some people know her for that. I think just overall, she's just put herself more out there with her YouTube work and she seems to be one of the more likeable characters on the show and in real life.
