the will get a notification each time you follow this person, but they won't see anything in their notifications when you unfollow them. they might be confused if they see that you start to follow them, when they though you were already following them, but they won't really know that you unfollowed them, they might just guess.

They might be confused at first. Then just think that you made a new profile then wanted to follow them.
