How would I remove any personal info from a broken laptop?
I'm giving my old, broken laptop away to somebody but I want to make sure all of my personal info is gone. I've already removed the hard disk drive from the computer, but is there anything else I need to do? And how would I go about doing this?
Thanks, any help would be appreciated! So it's just the HDD I have to get rid of? Because if it is, I've already removed that from the laptop. Do I have to remove the RAM too or not? Thanks Geek Squad. @Boris 24: Wow, you don't say? The guy I'm giving it to is using it for parts, dumbass. @Boris 24: Wow, you don't say? The guy I'm giving it to is using it for parts, dumbass. Removing the Hard Drive will remove all of your personal data from the computer. As long as you have that hard drive separate from the computer, there is no personal data stored on that computer.

Laptop without hard drive is a piece of junk.Nobody won't be able to use it.Windows are on Hard drive. So laptop will not start-up. |
