Facebook Question- Privacy?

Background: I'm using a Symbian phone so tagging friends in my facebook status isn't that easy.
Question: If I write my status updates via PC and tag my friends, but set the privacy for this post first to "Only me"- Will they get a notification?

Maybe, but they wouldn't see the status

If you set it to "Only Me", then Facebook will automatically set it to only you, the people tagged, and the friends of those tagged to have the ability to see it.
