How do I delete a group on Facebook?

I am th creator but I left the group (thinking that if the creator left the group then i, would delete the group) but you have to be in the group to delete it, and now when I try to join the group it says request pending. Who's going to accept it? Shouldn't it be me since I started the group? How can I get back in the group?

you were supposed to remove everyone from the group before you left the group, now there is no group leader, so there's no way to get back into the group

Check your email id that you have used for creating that group, you must have an email in your inbox. Approve your request. Login to facebook using that email ID that you have used while creating the group and then go to your group page and delete.
