1. Add or connect your twitter account to facebook.
2. If you're on any forums or anything, modify your profile and add your twitter account under your "Websites" option.
3. Add a banner to any websites you own, telling people to follow you.
4. Own a blog? Update it and tell people they can follow you on twitter now.
5. Follow a buuunnch of people on twitter by searching for different celebrities, fan-twitters, or anything, and you will at least get some people that follow back Smile

The first thing to get followers is to search for your friends in twitter. You can search for your friends in twitter by using your email id. If not search for people with common interests. If not use http://twiends.com/ to get more followers.

To get more followers on Twitter.

You need to fill in your profile page properly. The more descriptive your page is the more chance you have of getting targeted followers. You have put Physics and Politics as your main interest.

Both of these topics might be interesting to you, But they are not going to be to 98% of the Twitter community. I would suggest adding a couple of more interesting topics like music and sports.
